The CPAA is a not-for-profit association designed to build and improve the professional anglers’ profile through professional development, community and environmental initiative and the implementation of a code of conduct. The CPAA acts as a unified voice for anglers interested in participating at the highest level of competition.


Our charter is summarize in our by-laws of incorporation which include the following about memership and dues. For a complete copy of our by-laws contact our corporate secretary.

Membership:


The CPAA will have two (2) levels of membership; Pro Member and Associate Member.


The Pro Member is defined as any tournament angler that supports the multi-day Pro/Am format as a Pro (boater).To remain a Pro Member in good standing in subsequent years a member must participate in CPAA endorsed community, environment or tournament events.

An Associate Member is any angler that supports tournament angling and the multi-day Pro/Am format.


Members may resign by resignation in writing which shall be effective upon acceptance thereof by the Board of Directors.

In case of resignation, a Member shall remain liable for payment of any assessment or other sum levied or which became payable by him to the Association prior to acceptance of his resignation.

Each Pro Member in good standing shall be entitled to one vote on each question arising at any special or general meeting of the Pro Members.
Associate Members in good standing may attend any general meetings but will have no voting privileges in the CPAA.

Any Pro Member or Associate Member shall automatically cease to be a Pro Member of the Association for any conduct unbecoming; such conduct shall be at the discretion of the Board of Directors and shall be a 2/3 majority vote of the Board of Directors.
